welcome to my knives/blades information section

during my life so far i have been infatuated with knives (mainly from a hunting point of view).

but there is nearly as many different types of knives/blades as there are days of the year . so to try and help the newcomer to knives this/these page/s will try and help.

before you go out and buy a knife ask yourself a question WHAT is the knife for?

  1. hunting
  2. fishing
  3. rescue work
  4. industrial work
  5. services(army/navy/airforce)etc
  6. kitchin
  7. general use
  8. jungal and survival use
  9. collection

now that we know what the knife is for , we must not forget the rules .

SAFETY

so it is best to keep an edge keen/sharp depending on the task in hand.

to try and demonstrait this try cutting the sunday joint with a chainsaw, you might just end up with all your joint on the wall of your kitchin.

on the other hand (and this extremity is outside of my scope/knowledge), try cutting the same joint with a surgeon scalpel you may well be cutting all day!
